Now it will be a little unix-like, we're going to work with GZIP and TAR, but have no fear, it's easier than you think.:)
First, copy GZIP.TTP, TAR.TTP, mfl-3.1.tgz and mfl-3.2.tgz on the just created, empty partition. Either on the root directory or in a folder(but don't forget changes in MINT.CNF!!!)
Now you can start TAR.TTP with a doubleclick and enter the following in the appearing box (You have to pay attention, that there is a difference between upper and lower case on a ext2 or minix)-filesystems (it's not windoze;)):

                    -xvzf mfl-3.1.tgz

Do the same with mfl-3.2.tgz.
This is the shortest way to unpack the mfl-3.x.tgz, with this comandline first TAR is executed and then GZIP. If this fail, you have to execute TAR and GZIP one after the other:

              gzip.ttp -dv mfl-3.x.tgz
tar.ttp -tvf mfl-3.x.tar
x represents 1 or 2 here

When pressing RETURN, you should see how Mfl distribution is unpacked, when it is ready, you should find the following folders and files on your partition resp. in your folder:
              bin/
               bash
               chgrp
               chmod
               chown
               cp
               login
               ls
               mkdir
               rm
               rmdir

Some of the folders above are empty, but they are useful and will be needed, when upgrading to SpareMiNT.

Now you should have already a little MiNT system (hopefully:)) on your computer and the way to MiNT-Net is not so far anymore.
